Today dated 07.05.22 Department of Chemistry of SNRL Jairam Girls College Lohar Majra Kurukshetra, organized one day workshop on “Segregation of Waste and its Management” in collaboration with ‘Green Earth’, NGO, Kurukshetra. Dr. Naresh Bhardwaj and Mr. Sushil Kumar were the Resource Person. Dr. Naresh interacted with all students, teaching and non teaching staff. He made aware them about process of proper collection and segregation of waste. In addition to this, Dr. Naresh also provided valuable information about preparation of manure from kitchen waste and biological waste. He also made aware about bad effects of plastics and disposable items and also visited the Solid Waste Management Unit in college. Many key points to achieve and sustain the status of “SUP’s free & Clean-Green-Zero waste campus” also discussed by him. Principal Dr. Sudesh Rawal thanked Dr. Naresh and Mr. Sushil kumar for making this workshop successful. Dr. Rawal also congratulated Dr. Loveena Arora, Asstt. Prof. Chemistry for successful organization of this workshop. On this occassion Dr. Anita Sharma, Dr. Neeta Sharma, Dr. Sarojni, Dr. Sunita Rani, Dr. Paramjit Kaur, Dr. Karnika, Mrs. Deepti, Mrs. Amarjeet, Miss priyanka, Mrs. Meenu and other faculty members were present.
